Our cooking team comes together once a week to cook with surplus foods for our community cook up in Blackfield. We would like to grow this area of our work so please let us know the skills you have!
Our team of drivers are at the heart of our surplus food work. Each driver has a set collection each week so you will know what you are doing and when. There may not always be available slots for you,but we would love to hear from you if you would be interested in joining the team.
Do you love fixing things? Our repair cafe aims to keep stuff from landfill, can you help us? We will have a go at fixing anything that comes through the door. We also need help on the day with talking to people, refreshments and publicity.
No sewing skills required! We will teach you if you have never touched a sewing machine before, or come and make labels and cut out bags. If you can sew fantastic, help us make bags!
Love fish? Love growing food? Love making living compost? We need a team of people who want to come and grow food and the centre of our work with us. At the moment it is mainly building and moving. Let us know what skills you can bring all welcome!
Are you green fingered and live in Holbury? We are building a small team of local people to help in the Holbury Orchard.
Do you love fashion? Are you tired of fast fashion? Come join our team at our clothes swaps. Or can you help us grow this project to helping with clothing insecurity within the waterside? If you have any of the following internet selling skills, upcycling skills, organizing skills and would like to help let us know.
Help us manage our community fridge in Hythe library. Ideally you will live as close to the library as possible, and have a love of sharing food with the community.
